Yes, there are many tutorials available on the net, but most of them focus on cheesy GUI effects, so they are effectively useless. You can hop on lighthouse and fix bugs. Pull the code from github and add features; make docs more clear, etc, etc. Blogging about MooTools and how you use it is awesome and you should continue doing it. If you want to get involved in the official project though, you just need to start. The easiest way to do that is to pull the code and start working on it. There's no shortage of bugs...
