MooTools aren't that much harder than jQuery, and are way more javascripty.

jQuery docs are not very good either. Yes, there are many tutorials available on the net, but most of them focus on cheesy GUI effects, so they are effectively useless.

Getting involved is pretty easy (if you have the time). You can hop on lighthouse and fix bugs. Pull the code from github and add features; make docs more clear, etc, etc.

Blogging about MooTools and how you use it is awesome and you should continue doing it. If you want to get involved in the official project though, you just need to start. The easiest way to do that is to pull the code and start working on it. There's no shortage of bugs...

Hey Chris, Thanks for the reply. Good to hear MooTools is improving. As far as trying to contribute. What can I do? I've been releasing plugins and promoting the framework but I've not done much contribution to the framework itself. Any suggestions?

Hello,

thank you for your honest opinion about MooTools. On behalf of the MooTools team I can say that we take this very seriously and we know about all these shortcomings. We are currently implementing a new structure for the MooTools project and we will deal with everything you mentioned in the near future. Please note that our ressources are very limited, so if you have time to contribute feel free to do so. Any help is appreciated. To stick to the topic: stay with us - It's Worth It! ;) Everything regarding MooTools is going to become (more) awesome soon.
